Job Description
Job Description
About Lattis Networks
Lattis Networks is a 25-year-old technology services company specializing in managed IT, network infrastructure, physical security, and low-voltage systems for commercial and industrial clients across California.
We’re looking for a skilled low-voltage technician who wants more than just pulling cable—someone who wants to grow into a lead role, take ownership of projects, and help shape the future of our low-voltage practice.
About the Role
This is a field-forward role for a technician who is already competent in structured cabling and ready to grow.
You’ll start under supervision on active job sites, but we’re looking for someone who can quickly operate independently, take pride in clean installs, and develop into a lead technician / project owner.
Long-term growth opportunities include:
- Lead Technician
- Project Foreman
- Estimator / Low-Voltage Practice Leadership
- Cross-collaboration with our IT & Systems teams
What You’ll Do
- Pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot CAT6 / CAT6A structured cabling
- Certify cabling using Fluke cable analyzers and produce test results
- Perform clean cable dressing, labeling, and rack build-outs
- Install and mount:
-
- Network switches and patch panels
- Wireless access points
- Security cameras (Axis or similar)
- Read construction drawings and blueprints
- Mark up as-builts and redlines
- Track time and job activity using Lattis systems
- Work on ladders, lifts, and in outdoor / industrial environments
- Learn advanced skills including:
-
- Conduit installation
- Cabinet and enclosure mounting
- Fiber installation and fusion splicing
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and field partners
- Report directly to leadership
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience working independently on commercial or industrial job sites
- Strong understanding of structured cabling best practices (not just pulling cable)
- Familiarity with pathway systems (J-hooks, ladder rack, basic conduit concepts)
- Ability to read drawings, follow scope, and solve field issues without hand-holding
- Pride in clean installs, labeling, testing, and documentation
- Experience installing low-voltage systems beyond cabling
(cameras, access control devices, wireless APs, or similar) - Comfortable tracking time, progress, and changes on a per-project basis
- Prior experience leading tasks, mentoring others, or acting as a site point-person
Our Working Style
We trust skilled technicians to manage their work professionally. You’ll have support when you need it—but not micromanagement if you know what you’re doing.
