Maintenance Electrical Technician – 1st Shift

Location: Mira Loma, CA

Shift: 1st Shift (Daytime)

Company: Magnolia Foods LLC

Compensation: $30.75 – $33.25 per hour, based on experience

Magnolia Foods LLC, a leading manufacturer of tortillas, chips, baked goods, and Latin-inspired specialties, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrical Technician to join our 1st shift operations. This role is essential to ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of equipment and facilities in a high-volume food manufacturing environment.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Electrical Technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems. This hands-on role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and facility equipment

  • Troubleshoot and service Ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems commonly used in industrial applications

  • Interpret technical diagrams, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer instructions

  • Inspect and measure parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using testing instruments and observation

  • Fabricate and install replacement parts using machine shop equipment

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory levels

  • Mentor new team members and share technical knowledge

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory standards

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company procedures and safety protocols

  • Attend training workshops to stay current with industry standards and technical advancements

  • Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety-related policies

  • Support the company’s quality assurance and food safety programs

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within a food manufacturing or industrial setting

  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems (Ammonia and Freon) preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals

  • Skilled in using precision measuring tools and machine shop equipment

  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team during daytime operations
