Job Summary:
The position is for a 5-axis NC Programmer specializing in aerospace components. The role involves creating NC programs using NX CAM (or similar software) and supporting manufacturing processes for aluminum aerospace parts.
Job Description:
- Program three, four, and five-axis mills for aerospace component manufacturing.
- Use NX CAM or similar software to create NC programs.
- Plan and design manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
- Analyze equipment layout, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization to maximize efficiency.
- Determine required parts, cutting tools, and workholding fixtures for machining aluminum aerospace components.
- Work under immediate supervision, following established guidelines and instructions.
- May require coordination with leads and other team members to ensure adherence to product specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience programming 3, 4, and 5-axis mills.
- Proficiency with NX CAM programming software (or similar).
- Experience machining aluminum aerospace parts.
- Ability to create workholding fixtures and select appropriate cutting tools for aerospace machining.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and industrial plant layout.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field) with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within aerospace manufacturing.
- Ability to work under supervision and follow pre-established guidelines.
