Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunity for experienced ICU Registered Nurses to provide critical care in a dynamic hospital setting in Anaheim, CA. This 12-week night shift contract position offers a rewarding environment to apply and expand your advanced nursing skills, with a possibility to extend based on performance and facility needs.

Schedule

  • Night shifts, 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Willingness to work holidays essential

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Current RN license with at least 3 years of ICU experience
  • Certification requirements: ACLS, BLS, CPIM, ABA or VIPN, NIHSS
  • Return to work (RTO) must accompany submission, with maximum 3 days off during first two weeks

Specific Skill Set

  • Expertise in FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Proficient in multi-system organ failure care and management of chronic/acute renal failure
  • Skilled in obtaining 12-lead EKGs, IV insulin protocols, and managing central lines including arterial, PICC
  • Experience with blood product administration, starting IVs, and managing continuous IV sedation/paralytics
  • Knowledge of emergency medications, procedural sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
  • Ability to assist with respiratory supports including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, ventilator management, and suctioning
  • Familiar with CVA/acute stroke management including hypothermia protocols
  • Competent in infection prevention, phlebotomy, and care related to surgical wounds, drains, chest tubes

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing to ICU/CCU patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Adhere strictly to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
  • Support procedural sedation and emergency interventions when required
