Foreman – Lead Log Home Restoration Projects Across Northern California

ParkerBeth Search Partners is seeking a Foreman on behalf of our client, a trusted log home construction and restoration company, to oversee crews on log home refinishing and restoration projects throughout Northern California. Your Role as Foreman
As Foreman, you will lead a crew of 4–6 in restoring and refinishing log homes across Northern California. You’ll manage project flow from mobilization to closeout, enforce safety standards, and ensure superior workmanship in staining, blasting, chinking, and sealing.
Responsibilities include:

Leading and supervising crews on restoration projects from start to finish

Coordinating site logistics, scheduling, and crew performance to meet timelines

Overseeing media blasting, sanding, staining, sealing, and chinking applications

Training and mentoring junior crew members in restoration techniques

Maintaining tools, equipment, and material inventories for upcoming jobs

Acting as the primary liaison with management, clients, and inspectors

Reporting on daily progress and ensuring projects meet budget and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
-
3+ years of hands-on experience in log home restoration, painting/staining, or carpentry
-
Crew leadership experience — managing 4 or more employees effectively

Comfort with chainsaws, grinders, sanders, sprayers, and other job-site tools

Strong problem-solving skills — a solutions-oriented mindset is essential

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials daily in varied weather conditions
Certifications & Technical Tools

Valid California driver’s license; clean record

Background check and drug screening required

OSHA certification a plus

Work Schedule & Travel

Location: Northern California projects (including mountain and rural regions)

Schedule: 4x10s

Travel: Foreman and crew travel 4 days per week. Crews leave Monday mornings for project sites, stay in company-provided lodging during the week, and return home Thursday evenings.
