Qualifications
- High School diploma AND Associate Degree or completed trade school study relevant toward CNC machine manufacturing.
- CNC machine controls, retrieve and run programs experience
- 2-5 + years experience with close tolerance CNC manufacturing: machine operation, programming, and cutting tool selection and maintenance
- CNC cutting tools (reamers, end mills, boring bars, taps, drills) experience
- Standard Operating Procedures experience
- Familiarity of G & M Code programming techniques (Heidenhain, Mazatrol) experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T experience.
- Measuring equipment experience (micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, go/no-go gauges, etc.).
- Previous race or production engine assembly or rebuilding experience
- Previous Aerospace or Defense industry experience (Deburr, and/or Assembly)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Manufacture Engineering to optimize machining processes
- Assist maintenance personnel with the diagnosis and correction of machine tool geometry
- Follow the production schedule and proactively verify machines are configured correctly
- SOPs and drawing set up instructions, load castings & raw materials
- Ensure all machines are running in accordance with the daily published schedule
- Perform required daily maintenance activities on assigned CNC machine
- Coordinate with the QC department to validate part quality from QC reports
- Document machine and automation robot issues
- Retrieve and/or build cutting
