Position Summary

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play an important role in the daily lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with personal care, community activities, skill-building, and advocacy to help clients achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings.

• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, transportation, and medication reminders.

• Support clients in achieving independence through skill development and community integration.

• Promote dignity, respect, and safety at all times.

• Document services provided in compliance with state and organizational requirements.

• Work collaboratively with team members, families, and supervisors to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a caregiving role (preferred but not required).

• Valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.

• Ability to pass a background check, TB test, and pre-employment drug screening.

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable with strong communication skills.
