Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laminator Operator (I) to join our manufacturing
team. The Laminator Operator will be responsible for operating laminating machinery to bond layers of
materials together according to specifications and quality standards. This role requires experience in
machine operation, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
What you’ll do
- Must be certified for the Sit Down forklift
- Set up, operate, and monitor laminating machines according to specifications.
- Load materials onto the laminating machine, ensuring proper positioning and alignment for accurate lamination.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
- Identity and report any defects or issues with the laminated products.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on laminating machinery, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Report major mechanical problems to the maintenance team or supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations while operating laminating machinery and handling materials.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
- Work closely with other team members to meet production goals.
- Complete necessary paperwork and production logs.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and basic math skills for accurate measurements.
- Familiarity with various machining processes, including CNC programming, plasma cutting, and welding.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Previous experience with electrical discharge machining or press brake machines is a plus.
