Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) role is available for an itinerant position supporting elementary students. This contract runs through June 5, 2026, with an immediate start. The position requires onsite work across multiple school locations, providing specialized support to a general education inclusion caseload.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language pathology services to approximately 35 elementary students across Spring Valley School, Bangor Elementary School, and Berry Creek Elementary School
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records within the Special Education Information System (SEIS)
- Traveling regularly between assigned sites within the district to ensure consistent service delivery
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid California SLPA license
- Experience working with general education inclusion students in elementary settings
- Familiarity with SEIS and IEP processes
- Ability to manage and organize a caseload effectively
- Reliable transportation for travel between school sites
Location: Oroville, CA (servicing multiple elementary schools within the area)
