Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Patent Prosecution Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patent applications and ensuring compliance with patent laws and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of patent law and the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks to protect our clients' intellectual property.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prepare patent applications for filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
  • Conduct patent searches and analyze patentability of inventions
  • Draft and prosecute patents through examination, responding to office actions and facilitating the patent grant process
  • Advise clients on patent strategy and provide counsel on patent-related matters
  • Assist in patent litigation matters as needed, including providing support for legal proceedings
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patent law and regulations, as well as industry trends

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one state
  • 3+ years experience in patent law, with a focus on patent prosecution
  • Strong understanding of patent litigation processes
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
