Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a Regional Preschool Special Education program serving students ages 3-5. The role is based in Salinas, CA, within a K-12 school setting, providing essential speech and language therapy services on an in-person basis. The position is a contracted assignment lasting from immediately through the end of the 35-36 school year, with potential extension into the 26-27 school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individualized speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 50 preschool-aged students
- Collaborating closely with two other SLP professionals to coordinate interventions and share best practices
- Participating in team meetings and progress monitoring to ensure student development
- Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with program and state requirements
- Working standard hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in California
- Experience working with early childhood populations and special education students preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech and language therapy practices
