Job Description Summary
Polishing/Deburr Operator uses a variety of equipment/ tools to de-burr or polish precious metal/ plastic parts.
Essential Duties
· Responsible for using different types of tools, such as buffers, grinders, sanders, tumbling, and/or hand-held tools to remove rough edges, improve surface finish of various metal/plastics parts to meet blueprint and job traveler’s requirements
· Operate equipment in deburr and cleaning/tumbler areas
· Visual inspection cosmetic result to ensure products meet specific requirements
· Wash or Clean parts as necessary
· Responsible for identifying any issues and immediately informing manager to resolve the issue if needed
· Follow priorities set per schedule
· Follow process for accurate data collection
· Keep workplace clean and well-organized
Other Responsibilities
· Assist Shipping and/or Assembly department as needed
· Additional duties as assigned
Computer / Technical Skills
· Using computer terminals to enter data collection data
Qualifications
· Degree required High School Diploma or GED completion
· Good communication skills with ability to be clear
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to multitask effectively
Other Requirements
· Must be a U.S. citizen as defined by ITAR (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
· Must follow AS9100/IS9100 quality standard and processes
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
· Knowledge of proper safety procedures and best practices in manufacturing environment
