Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought to support K-8 students in a school setting located in Simi Valley, CA. This contract position, lasting the full academic school year (NSY), focuses on providing specialized services primarily to students with mild to moderate language needs, including those with high-functioning autism. The role involves around 15-20 hours per week, offering a flexible schedule suitable for part-time professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy tailored to K-8 students with mild to moderate communication challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students within the caseload.
- Collaborate with educational coordinators, directors, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with K-8 student populations, particularly those with language impairments and high-functioning autism.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team-oriented educational environment.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy models and compliance with educational regulations and reporting requirements.
