Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A School Psychologist position is available to support students' academic, emotional, and social development within a dynamic school environment in Long Beach, CA. This role involves assessing student needs, collaborating with educators and families, and providing interventions to foster a positive learning experience. The position requires travel between multiple school sites, offering a diverse and engaging work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations to identify student strengths and needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to behavioral planning
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential records complying with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid credential or certification allowing practice in school settings
- Experience conducting assessments and designing interventions for diverse student populations
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage travel between multiple school locations effectively
