Job DescriptionSalary: $65,000-$95,000 DOE
Reports to: Project Manager
Summary of Position: This position plays a highly valued role in the delivery of successful projects to Blach Constructions clients. The Project Assistant provides primary administrative support on assigned construction projects, working onsite with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Superintendent or working on multiple projects out of Blachs main office in San Jose.
Typical Duties:
- Prepare bid packages and requests for proposals
- Process, distribute, and track subcontracts
- Take meeting minutes in project meetings
- Track insurance and safety documentation
- Archive files and drawings Assist with special projects as needed
- Generally assist the project team(s) in other areas as needed
- Process billings
- Collect documentation for project closeout
- Manage purchase orders and subcontractor change orders
- Set up new job files in CMiC
Skills/Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must have an ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) required; knowledge of CMiC preferred
- Must be proactive in problem-solving
- Must have strong organizational and communication skills
- Construction project administration experience preferred
Location:Northern California (Bay Area)
Position Status: Full-time, regular business hours, non-exempt
