- Handle a caseload of employment, wage-and-hour, and consumer class and representative actions in California state and federal courts
- Draft complaints, discovery requests and responses, motions, and legal briefs in complex civil litigation matters
- Conduct written and oral discovery, including depositions preparation, and gain opportunities to take and defend depositions as you grow
- Argue motions and appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings as assigned
- Assist with case strategy, legal research, and analysis to support class certification, dispositive motions, and settlement
- Communicate with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel, keeping clients informed and supported throughout the litigation process
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage deadlines, filings, and case workflows efficiently
- Travel occasionally within California for hearings, mediations, depositions, and other case-related needs
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in California, or licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the California Bar
- 1-3 years of civil litigation experience, including discovery, motion practice, and some court appearances
- Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, or wage-and-hour/employment law is strongly preferred
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, reliable work history and a genuine interest in plaintiff-side advocacy and workers' rights
