Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Estimator with a minimum of 3 + years of estimating experience in the construction or related industry. In this role, you will lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates, support Owners and Project Managers, and contribute to the development of competitive and comprehensive bid proposals. You will be responsible for reviewing project documents, performing quantity takeoffs, analyzing cost data, and supporting risk evaluation throughout the pre-construction process. This position requires travel to multiple site locations throughout the Bay Area - Main Office (Los Gatos, CA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate Preparation: Independently prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and drawing reviews for bids and proposals.
  
• Cost Data Analysis: Research, analyze, and update cost information for materials, labor, and equipment.
  
• Bid Development: Assemble and develop complete bid packages that align with project requirements and company standards.
  
• Risk & Cost Assessment: Identify cost impacts, potential risks, and value-engineering opportunities during the estimating process.
  
• Project Review Support: Participate in post-bid and post-project evaluations to refine estimating accuracy and improve processes.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with Owners, Project Managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather information and ensure estimating quality.
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a closely related field.
  
• Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and estimating best practices.
  
• Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel).
  
• Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify cost drivers and potential risks.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data.
