A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with a focus on neuro thrombectomies in Los Angeles, CA. Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, gastrostomy tube placement, paracentesis, nephrostomy, and specialized vascular and endovascular interventions.
- Support neuro thrombectomy cases, contributing to critical patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Sunrise Allscripts and McKesson systems.
- Provide comprehensive patient monitoring including procedural sedation, ventilator assessments, and dysrhythmia management.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule involving overnight and weekend shifts.
- Utilize radiation and laser safety practices and manage vascular closure systems.
- Administer emergency medications and manage patient sedation and anticoagulation safely and effectively.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Prior experience in interventional radiology, specifically with neuro thrombectomies, is required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
- Skilled in a variety of IR procedures such as TIPS, renal and pulmonary angiography, dialysis graft interventions, chest tube placement, and thrombolytic therapy.
- Proficient in patient assessment including pressure ulcer prevention and activated clotting time monitoring.
- Ability to manage documentation and communication in a hospital electronic medical records system.
Schedule / Hours:
- Day shift: Four 10-hour days (07:00 - 17:30).
- On-call rotations approximately 10-12 shifts per 4-week schedule, including 3-4 weekend on-call shifts.
