We’re a hands-on, fast-moving team of creatives, makers, and problem-solvers—and we’re looking for a Junior Carpenter who’s ready to jump in, learn the ropes, and grow within our fabrication team.
Job Overview
This is an entry-level, full-time position ideal for someone with basic woodworking or carpentry experience who is looking to build a long-term career in scenic or exhibit fabrication. You’ll be working in a collaborative shop environment, helping to build custom pieces for events and experiences across the country.
You don’t need years of experience—but you do need a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work with tools and follow direction. If you’re dependable, mechanically inclined, and want to grow your carpentry skills, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the construction and assembly of custom exhibits, displays, and scenic builds
Read and interpret basic construction drawings and instructions
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery under supervision
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow safety guidelines and shop protocols at all times
Work closely with senior carpenters, project managers, and designers to complete builds on time
Participate in loading/unloading and on-site installations when needed
Learn new skills and grow your capabilities in scenic/exhibit carpentry
Requirements
Some carpentry, woodworking, or fabrication experience (trade school, hobbyist, or previous work)
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
Reliable, punctual, and a team player
Willingness to learn and take feedback
Comfortable working in a shop environment and occasionally on job sites
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Bonus Points
Experience in a scenic shop, exhibit fabrication, or trade show environment
Interest in CNC machinery, paint, or finishing techniques
Forklift experience or certification
