The QA Technician ensures that the plant complies with food regulatory requirements and reports any deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety, quality, and defense.
Responsibilities
- Monitor production conditions, specifications, process controls, and tracking controls.
- Maintain wash line concentrations.
- Verify checks on existing production control forms and audit them to meet all program requirements.
- Collect environmental swabs, air sampling dishes, and lab retain samples.
- Monitor all CCPs on-line and take corrective actions to assist in determining root causes and developing preventative action plans.
- Check pH levels, temperature, and brix of each batch of juice produced to ensure they are within product specifications.
- Document Facility Operation Inspections & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Perform Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOPs) verification and ATP swabs.
- Track non-conforming products and their dispositions.
- Conduct Pre-Operational inspection procedures of all production/bottling equipment and facility.
- Perform equipment calibrations and necessary adjustments.
- Assist with testing food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Conduct inventory checks of ATP swabs, charts, forms, etc.
- Ensure volumes, torques, and bottle weights are within product specifications.
- Complete and enter all pallet tags and CCP forms for production and bottling into the database.
- Record cycles and verify that all HPP settings and information are correct.
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.50/hr.
