A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for a short-term assignment in the Sunnyvale, CA area, serving K-12 schools. This contract opportunity begins in late January and extends for approximately nine weeks, with the possibility of continuing through the end of the school year and potentially into the next academic year.
Responsibilities include providing direct occupational therapy services across multiple school sites, supporting students from preschool through high school. The role involves working on-site exclusively and collaborating with educators and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans. Coverage is needed for a district occupational therapist on maternity leave, requiring flexibility to serve two preschool/elementary and two middle school locations, or alternatively three sites including elementary, K-8, and high school levels.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
- Strong knowledge of pediatric therapy practices across K-12 populations
- Ability to manage caseloads spanning multiple school sites efficiently
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and school teams
- Willingness to work full-time, on-site throughout the assignment period
