Job Description
We are seeking a Product Development Tech to contribute to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified scope.
This is a 1st shift position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)
• Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis
• Provides completion of technical tasks.
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualifications
• Works with team to on general lab functions; including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenance
• Notifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect project
• Helps develop prototype processes and test set-ups
• Executes designed test protocol and conducts testing
• Effectively documents and communicates test results
• Handles chemicals occasionally using provided protective equipment
• Supports hardware debugging
Requirements:
- A minimum of training of high school or secondary school in a technical discipline with 2-4 years relevant experience in a relevant R&D setting.
- Preferred Requirement: A technical degree such as B.S. degree + 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Work history in physical and mechanical testing environment or education in physical/biological sciences
- Experience in lab setting (involves handling chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment, etc.)
- Familiarity with research/engineering documents (test protocols, coordinate drawings, equipment manuals, etc.)
