Job Description
Education Law Attorney | Riverside, CA (Hybrid - 3 Days remote)
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise district/school administrators on all aspects of personnel management, including employee discipline, dismissal, and release.
- Guide clients in responding to California Public Records Act requests, complying with the Brown Act, and avoiding and addressing conflicts of interest.
- Represent local educational agencies in administrative hearings.
- Counsel management on questions involving employee leaves of absence and disability accommodations.
Qualifications:
- 2-4+ years of labor and/or employment law experience, preferably for educational or other public entities.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Proven experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Other Compensation:
- The annual salary for this position is between $130,000-$160,000 annually, plus bonus. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
