Responsibilities
Handle complex litigation matters in areas such as constitutional law, land use, eminent domain, and civil rights.
Lead or support all phases of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
Develop and implement strategic litigation approaches in high-stakes or evolving areas of law.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, briefs, and dispositive motions in state and federal court.
Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and assist with evidence development.
Collaborate with team members across offices to ensure consistent, high-quality client service.
Represent public and private clients with professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active California Bar membership in good standing.
7+ years of litigation experience, including significant work on complex cases in state and federal court.
Proven expertise in law and motion practice, including dispositive motions.
Strong writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Experience building cases for trial, including discovery management and witness development.
Eminent domain, land use, or public entity representation experience is preferred.
