Role Overview
The Temporary Assembly Support Associate assists the production and assembly teams by preparing materials, organizing work areas, and ensuring an efficient and clean workspace. This role focuses on supporting daily operations through tasks such as building boxes, preparing packaging materials, staging parts, cutting wire, wiring sensors, and general facility organization.
Expected Start Date: January 5, 2026
Expected End Date: March 6, 2026 (May be extended depending on demand)
Expected Hours: 4-hour shifts, 12-16 hours a week.
Responsibilities
Safety
· Keep warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and free from debris and potential slip/trip hazards.
· Communicate safety hazards and concerns to coworkers and supervisors.
· Support and reinforce safety culture through personal example and peer accountability.
Packaging & Materials Prep
· Assemble boxes, crates, and packaging materials for production use.
· Prepare and label packages according to order and assembly requirements.
· Stage materials and supplies needed for production and assembly teams.
· Replenish packaging supplies (bags, labels, tape, boxes, foam, etc.).
Assembly & Wiring Support
· Cut wire to required lengths and prepare wiring harnesses.
· Assist in wiring sensors and other components under supervision.
· Support assembly staff with basic non-technical and technical tasks as needed.
· Move completed products to designated staging or shipping areas.
Facility Organization & Cleanliness
· Keep workstations, assembly areas, and aisles clean, organized, and free of debris.
· Dispose of scrap materials and recycle packaging components as required.
· Perform routine end-of-day cleanup tasks.
General Duties
· Support shipping/receiving when required (loading/unloading, labeling, sorting).
· Maintain accurate counts and notes when preparing materials.
Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
· 1+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
· Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
· Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
· Understanding of basic electrical connections and electronic components.
· Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
· Manual dexterity for precise assembly work and handling small components.
· Ability to operate pallet jacks and material handling equipment.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and variations in products.
