Position: CNC Machinist / CNC Application Engineer

Location: City of Paramount

Type: Full-time- 1st shift schedule
Compensation: Based on experience- $25 to 30.00

  • Entry-Level CNC Machinist: $25/hour
  • Experienced (3+ years): $27–$30/hour

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist and CNC Application Engineer to join our manufacturing team. This role requires hands-on operation and programming of CNC machines, with a focus on optimizing processes, maintaining precision, and supporting advanced manufacturing operations.

Primary Responsibilities

CNC Machinist

  • Operate and monitor CNC machines (lathes, mills – vertical and horizontal).
  • Perform C-code programming and adjustments on the shop floor.
  • Set up and calibrate machines for production runs.
  • Inspect parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.

CNC Application Engineer

  • Program CNC machines using MASTERCAM and C-code.
  • Design and build custom work-holding and fixtures.
  • Optimize cycle times and improve machining processes.
  • Execute and verify CNC programs to ensure performance.
  • Write detailed engineering reports and conduct time studies.
  • Design tooling and gaging using SolidWorks.
  • Support turnkey projects from setup to implementation.
  • Recommend and implement advanced machining techniques.
  • Select cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain high-quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Machinist (CNC).
  • Proficiency in C-code programming and CNC operation.
  • Experience working with multi-axis lathes/mill-turns.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MASTERCAM.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop prints.
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aluminum door and window manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with window machining centers (e.g., Elumatec, FOM, Emegi).
