We support our clients with all clients with all areas of grown and protection of their assets, which includes estate planning, financial management, and tax planning.

Our growing firm needs an experience paralegal who can roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to deliver a stellar client experience. You will work in an empowered environment that encourages your growth.

What You Will Be Doing:

80% Prepare and Manage Client Estate Plans

* Prepare and review legal documents including but not limited to: agreements, documents, contracts and letters

* Assist attorney(s) in preparation for estate planning meetings and other legal matters

*Track and manager assigned deliverables using designated software and tracking systems. Proactivley communicates when deadlines are at risk of being missed

* Coordinate and schedule meetings with clients to collect information needed for their estate plan case

* Print and assemble portfolio binders, packets, Trust ID cards, and letters for clients

* Assist with or conduct signing meetings including being able to explain what the clients are signing and follow-up steps

* Keep all databases up to date with client informaiton

* Keep clients up to date on status of their case

* Process deeds

*Assist with and manage post-mortem estate planning activities including probate and trust administration

* Meet establied production metrics

* Adhere to all other Collins Law Group policies and procedures

10% Law Firm Administrative Activities

* Send Sympathy cards, and coordincate meetings

* Send letters to fiduciaries offereing free meeting

* Provide Administrative support for attorney(s)

* Assist with sending information to prospects and clients through email and mail

* Track and report on production including number of cases open, cases closed, days aging for open cases, and turnabround time on closed cases

* Conduct legal research and drafting as requested

10% Complete other projects and other assignments as requested

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years or progressive legal experience performing paralegal or legal assistant work including: drafting and reviewing legal documents experience, preferably in a trust/estate planning law office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 2 years of progressive legal experience performing paralegal or legal assistant work including: drafting and reviewing legal documents

· Experience interacting with clients via phone, email, and in-person preferred

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Slack. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications required

· Associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience required

· Experience using Actionstep or similar practice management software desired

· Willingness to become a California Notary

· Professional appearance and friendly demeanor

· Ability to self-direct and prioritize work to meet internal and external deadlines w/other team members
