We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing facility in Wilmington, CA. What You'll Do:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and equipment
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests to keep operations running smoothly
• Perform preventative maintenance on packaging equipment, conveyors, and building systems
• Work with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Manage third-party contractor activities and safety protocols
• Complete equipment overhauls including pumps, motors, and gear boxes

What We're Looking For:

Required Experience:

• Minimum 4 years manufacturing maintenance experience
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems (SLC-500/PLC5)
• Experience with process control & instrumentation
• Proficiency with machine controls (480v, 230v, 120v, 24vdc)
• Variable frequency drive experience
• Blueprint and P&ID reading skills

Technical Skills:

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Mechanical equipment maintenance
• Pump and conveyor system expertise
• Welding and fabrication capabilities
• Basic knowledge of NFPA 70

Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training (2-year college or apprenticeship preferred)
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)

Position Requirements:

• Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency call-ins
• Available for off-shift and weekend work as needed
• Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication abilities
