Manufacturing/CNC Planner

What You Will Do:
- Develop and optimize CNC machining programs for lathes and mills using Mastercam 2023, supporting 3, 4, and 5-axis machining.
- Read, interpret, and analyze complex engineering blueprints and customer specifications.
- Create and manage manufacturing routers, bill of materials, and process plans for aerospace, defense, and commercial projects.
- Design work holding, fixtures, and tooling to efficiently produce complex parts.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform contract reviews, cost estimation, and update process documentation to maintain revision control.
- Implement process improvements and troubleshoot programming or manufacturing issues proactively.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all safety protocols and company procedures.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in NC programming with Mastercam 2023 or equivalent CAM software.
- Strong background in CNC machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Experience designing work holding and specialized tooling.
- Solid understanding of AS9100D standards, ITAR regulations, and inspection techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with CAD/CAM and manufacturing management software.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with fixture design and manufacturing process development.
- Management or shop oversight experience.
- Prior aerospace industry experience.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Trade school certification, technical degree, or higher in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a job shop or aerospace manufacturing environment.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to operate in an on-site manufacturing environment during typical business hours (Monday-Friday).
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to forty pounds.
- Willingness to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to a safe, efficient workplace.
- U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S. is preferred due to ITAR regulations.
