Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and possess the ability to create high-quality furniture pieces from various materials. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, blueprint reading, and an eye for detail. As a woodworker, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture items.
Responsibilities
- Build custom wood furniture, from start to finish, based on detailed drawings
- Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications
- Assemble wood components using hand tools and power tools
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project completion is done on time an done with precision
- Read and interpret detailed shop drawings
- Thoroughly read through orders and analyze what tools/hardware will be needed to complete the job
- Use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during woodworking projects
- Contribute to shaping the growth of our woodworking shop, establishing best practices for safety, efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment
- Continuously identify areas for improvement in workflow and efficiency
- Be a team player and work along side and with other team members to complete projects.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial woodworking environment, specializing in custom furniture or related fields.
- Must speak some English
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Must be able to meet other physical demands such as bending, lifting, and twisting
- Highly skilled at operating table saws, chop saw, planers, routers, power tools, hand tools, etc.
- Become a positive, supportive member of our team by encouraging others and taking direction well
- Commitment to upholding safety standards in the workshop.
Status: Full-time, non-exempt (40 hours per week)

Pay: Depends on experience $25-35/hr
