We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex IT projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate has a strong background in IT and healthcare and a proven ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role partners with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality IT solutions while managing multiple projects of varying complexity.
The Senior IT Project Manager works closely with leadership, project sponsors, and team members to keep projects on track, align priorities, and manage resources effectively across the organization. Starting salary from $122K and up.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Track project progress, manage milestones, and proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and issues.
- Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Facilitate scope definition and requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational strategy and business goals.
- Apply and support organizational project management standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Manage changes to scope, timelines, and resources using effective change management practices.
- Ensure delivered solutions meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting notes.
- Support process improvement initiatives and participate in strategic planning efforts.
- Provide guidance and support to technical teams for projects such as SharePoint, UCaaS/CCaaS, phone system migrations, and other IT initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of experience managing complex IT projects; healthcare experience preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or similar methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint, UCaaS, and CCaaS projects strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed; valid driver’s license required.
