Pay: $2,379.60/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Med-Surg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Oakland, CA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring along with medical-surgical support. The ideal candidate is experienced in MS/Tele nursing, thrives in fast-paced settings, and is committed to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care to patients on the MS/Tele unit.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and effective care plans.
- Provide education to patients and families on health conditions, treatment regimens, and discharge instructions.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in California (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent MS/Tele nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
