Our optometry office located in Pleasanton is looking for an experienced, full-time optician/optical technician. Opticianry or optical technician/assistant experience is preferred but willing to train the right applicant.
Job Summary: Frame and lens selection/styling, dispense and adjust eyewear, glasses and contact lens verification, contact lens insertion/removal training, inventory/ordering and pricing frames, manage frame displays/maintain dispensary, pretesting (autorefraction, visual fields, Optomap, tonometry), verify and explain patient's insurance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Must possess a strong command of the English language, both oral and written
- Organized individual who is able to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
- Courteous and professional demeanor
- Must be a "Team Player"
- Proficient computer skills, working in a Windows-based environment.
- Knowledge of OfficeMate/EHR is a plus although not necessary as training will be provided
- Outstanding punctuality and attendance in professional attire
- A sense of humor!
This is a full-time position (Monday-Thursday 9 am -6 pm, Friday 9 am-3 pm).
