Job DescriptionQuality Inspector (2nd & 3rd Shift) For Plastic Injection Molding Machines
Shift Options:
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Summary:
Operate injection molding machines, inspect parts for quality, separate and document defects, and package products according to requirements. Report any defect rates over allowable limits. Support the shift supervisor and lead operator with coverage during breaks/lunches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run injection molding machines per instructions
- Inspect, sort, and package parts
- Record and separate defective parts, using required forms
- Notify lead/technician when defect levels are too high
- Cover for breaks/lunches as needed
- Perform visual, dimensional, and first-article inspections (ISO 9001 / ISO 13485)
- Use SPC for critical dimensions
- Use test equipment (e.g., smart scope, micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Maintain inspection records and non-conformance reports (NCMRs)
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate effectively across shifts

- Quality inspection experience
