Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented California Paralegal to join our legal team specializing in CA Litigation. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting attorneys in this practice area by drafting legal documents, maintaining and organizing files, and communicating with clients.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Legal Studies or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Certification from an accredited legal assistant program
- Proven experience working as a Legal Assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and appeals specific to
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles pertaining to Litigation
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents related to Litigation cases
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, and meetings for Litigation matters
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel regarding Litigation cases
- Prepare and manage correspondence between attorneys and clients in Litigation matters
- Assist with trial preparation and trial attendance in Contested Litigation cases
- Provide administrative support to the legal team specialized in Litigation as needed
