Job DescriptionCommercial Litigation Associate Attorney (Midlevel) – Los Angeles
Direct Counsel is seeking a midlevel Commercial Litigation Associate to join a national, full-service law firm in its Los Angeles office.
Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school
-
3–5 years of commercial litigation experience

Prior law firm and/or judicial clerkship experience preferred

Active membership in the California State Bar (or pending)
Experience
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex litigation matters, including:

Drafting pleadings and contested motions (motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, preliminary injunctions, and class certification briefing)

Legal research and writing on substantive and procedural issues

Taking and defending depositions

Propounding and responding to written discovery

Arguing motions and participating in hearings
Experience or demonstrated interest in complex litigation, particularly consumer class actions and business litigation, is strongly preferred. The firm will also consider candidates with experience in trademark or trade secret litigation.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $255,000 – $330,000 (California market; commensurate with experience)
