Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A reputable K-12 educational organization in the Fresno, CA area is seeking experienced Certified Sign Language Interpreters to support students requiring communication access. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 11, 2026, offering per diem hours with caseload and assigned schools to be determined.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication between students, educators, and staff by providing accurate and professional sign language interpretation.
• Work collaboratively within diverse school environments to support students educational success.
• Adapt interpreting services to various academic settings and student needs.

Qualifications and Desired Skills:

• Must hold national certification in sign language interpreting.
• Possess at least one of the following credentials or assessments:
  • EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher
  • Registered Interpreter of the Deaf (RID) membership
  • Educational Sign Skills Evaluation-Interpreter and Receptive (ESSE-I/R)
  • NAD/ACCI assessment
• Experience working in educational settings preferred.
• Strong commitment to accurate, confidential, and culturally sensitive interpretation.

Location:

• Fresno, California with potential assignments across multiple school sites.
