Litigation Secretary
Location: San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: $32 to $40 per hour
Job Type: Contract/Contract to Hire, Onsite, Full-Time
LHH is working with an AM Law 100 firm in seeking a highly skilled Litigation Secretary with a strong background in Commercial Litigation and/or Insurance Defense to join their legal team in San Diego. This is an onsite role ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is looking for a potential long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities:

Draft and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence

Create and maintain templates, shells, and other litigation-related administrative tools

Perform state and federal court filings in California, including e-filing procedures

Manage case files, calendars, and deadlines

Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure timely and accurate document preparation

Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, document management, and client communications
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of litigation secretary experience

Proficiency in California state and federal court filing procedures

Strong knowledge of Commercial Litigation and/or Insurance Defense

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an onsite environment

Familiarity with legal software and document management systems
