Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves providing comprehensive support to attorneys in managing litigation cases, ensuring deadlines are met, and maintaining organized case files. Based in Los Angeles, California, this position offers an opportunity to contribute your expertise in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document organization to ensure smooth litigation management.
• Draft, review, and edit discovery responses, subpoenas, pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents and evidence, adhering to applicable rules and deadlines.
• Maintain and monitor the litigation calendar, ensuring deadlines are tracked and legal filings are completed accurately.
• Organize and manage case files, including electronic document systems and record retention.
• Summarize depositions, expert reports, medical records, and other case materials to streamline case analysis.
• Facilitate communication with external counsel, witnesses, and internal stakeholders to support case progress.
• Prepare trial exhibits, assist with coordination of witnesses, and provide on-site trial support when necessary.
• Monitor litigation budgets, review invoices, and manage expense tracking for accurate reporting.
• Conduct factual and legal research to support case strategy and legal documentation.• Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or paralegal certification is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a corporate or in-house legal setting.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, court rules, and electronic filing systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with discovery, civil litigation, trial preparation, and litigation processes.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
