Established (40+ years) AM Law 200 Full Service Law Firm Seeking Associate Attorneys for Education Law in Riverside, CA

An established AM Law 200 full-service law firm with over 40 years in practice is seeking an Associate Attorneys with 2-5+ years of experience for their Riverside office. These attorneys will support clients onlegal issues related to students in pre-school through 12th grade including daily legal counsel and support in student-related litigation; matters involving students with disabilities; student discipline; and compliance with laws such as the IDEA, Section 504, ADA, and Title IX.

Candidates with prior experience working at a university, former teachers, or those who have owned their own businesses are strongly encouraged to apply. Backgrounds that include working for the District Attorney or Public Defender's office on cases involving disabilities are also valued.

Offer:

Salary range: $100,000-$170,000+ contingent on experience

Qualifications:

2-5+ years of experience in education law, students with disabilities cases, or related litigation

Experience working at a university, teaching, or operating a business is a plus

Prior experience with DA or Public Defender's office on cases involving disabilities is a plus

Juris Doctorate (JD) and active California Bar membership in good standing

Responsibilities:

Advising clients on matters related to special education (IDEA), Section 504, ADA, and student discipline

Representing clients before California Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), California Department of Education (CDE), and Office for Civil Rights (OCR)

Assisting with investigations related to Title IX and Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP)

Collaborating with senior associates, of counsel, and partners to provide legal support and guidance
