Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational setting in Van Nuys, CA is seeking an experienced occupational therapist to provide specialized support from mid-February through the end of the school year, with the potential to extend into the next academic year. This contract role involves working across two different school sites, serving students ranging from preschool through 6th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services tailored to individual student needs within the school environment.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other related service providers to implement effective intervention plans.
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment goals, and document student progress in accordance with school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating a supportive learning environment for students.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as an occupational therapist in K-12 school settings.
- Ability to manage caseloads involving preschool to elementary-aged children.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy documentation and federal/state regulations.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., totaling 7.5 hours per day.
- Located in Van Nuys, California.
- Service will be provided at two separate school sites within the district.
