Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for Quality Assurance Supervisor (swing shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications.

Position Summary: The Quality Supervisor has the responsibility of facilitating the goal of Perfect Quality. The Quality Supervisor will be the instrument in Summit’s efforts to consistently provide our Customers with printed circuit boards that meet and exceed Customer and IPC specifications. The Quality Supervisor will work directly with Operations and Manufacturing management to identify and eliminate potential and recurring process problems. The Quality Supervisor will be instrumental in garnering inter-departmental cooperation to achieve Summit’s goal of Perfect Quality.

Required Skills:

Responsibilities:

  1. Quality reporting/graphing
  2. Customer surveys/tours/audits
  3. Material Review of internal scrap and rejected material and allocation of internal or vendor corrective action requests
  4. Assist in various other duties as needed
  5. Through the Director of Quality Assurance, ensure that Quality Work Procedures / Instructions reflect the most robust processing methods.
  6. When required, interface with Customers to reconcile complaints related to Quality of shipped product.
  7. Provide internal technical support for customer requested corrective actions.
  8. Conduct Failure Analysis and reporting on customer returned product when required.
  9. Continuously improve the quality of work in your department, develop measurement parameters to track progress.
  10. Liaises with customers and suppliers to support overall customer satisfaction and product integrity
  11. Instill a culture of technical requirements compliance, to include cause/correction action analysis on product and process discrepancies.
  12. Draft quality policies, procedures and work instructions as needed.
  13. Establish and maintain a quality assurance system in compliance with customer applicable requirements. Perform audits as necessary to ensure compliance.
  14. Assist in dis-positioning issues identified by In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection
  15. Point of Contact for Quality Management System. Lead QMS audits, and NADCAP audits
  16. Perform contract reviews of quality requirements to ensure that Summit can meet customer requirements.
  17. Participate in design reviews to ensure Quality has the required resources to inspect the product and that customer requirements are being met.
  18. Works closely with Production and Engineering to resolve quality or product issues.
  19. Manages plans and directs Quality System activities to maintain compliance and certification to AS9100, NADCAP, MIL-PR-31032.
  20. Performs other duties as required and assigned by management.


Education/Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferable.
  2. Customer quality assurance experience.
  3. Previous audit experience.
  4. Adaptable, open to and actively solicit new ideas and opinions.

  10. Lead Auditor or auditor certification in AS9100.
  11. Ability to read technical blueprints, technical manuals.
  12. Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  13. Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  14. Advanced analysis skills and techniques.
  15. Advanced organizational skills.
  16. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  17. Ability to maintain the highest ethical standards when challenged.
  18. Understand Summit ethics and business conduct policies.


Physical Demands:

  1. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  2. Excellent concentration and must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions.
