Previous experience in ABA is advantageous but not mandatory for many RBT and behavior therapist roles. This flexibility allows individuals from diverse backgrounds to enter the field, as long as they complete the required training and certification. Behavior Technician:


  • Pay Rate: $20-24 per hour (negotiable)
  • Experience: Up to 6 months

Senior Behavior Technician:


  • Pay Rate: $24-28 per hour (negotiable)
  • Experience: 6 months or more

Lead Behavior Technician:


  • Pay Rate: $28-30 per hour (negotiable)
  • Experience: Over 2 years with a bachelor's degree

Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Collect data on client progress and behavior using specified methods.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.

Qualifications
- RBT Certification
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field
- Proficiency in patient care, HIPAA, and medical documentation
- Experience in behavioral therapy and working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and care plans
- Ability to implement applied behavior analysis techniques
- Skilled in behavior management and data collection techniques
