Job DescriptionHealthcare Staffing Professionals is currently looking for a Nuclear Medicine Tech to work full time in our clients medical center located in Los Angeles, CA. The Nuclear Medicine Tech will perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic results.
Pay Rate:
$81/hr = $3,240/wk
Shifts: 8am-4:30pm, 4 days per week
Job Description:

• Assess patients' medical histories, symptoms, and referral information to determine the need for nuclear medicine procedures.
• Conduct consultations with patients to explain procedures, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Perform or supervise the administration of radioactive tracers to patients, either orally, intravenously, or through other routes, as appropriate.
• Oversee the operation of specialized imaging equipment such as gamma cameras, PET scanners, and SPECT scanners to capture images of the radioactive tracers in the body.
• Analyze nuclear medicine images to diagnose and stage diseases, including cancer, cardiac conditions, and neurological disorders.
• Provide detailed reports of findings to referring physicians, contributing to the development of patient treatment plans.

Requirements:

• Nuclear Med Tech certification
• BLS
• 1 yr experience.
