About the RoleWe are a well-established law firm in Irvine, CA, seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Assistant to join our litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting civil litigation attorneys. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for clients—gather documents and information necessary for discovery.
- File legal documents with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules.
- Manage attorneys’ calendars: schedule hearings, calculate critical deadlines, and track case timelines.
- Prepare and draft legal forms, filings, and correspondence.
- Assist with preparation of discovery and other legal documents, based on experience level.
- Support general office operations and administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a legal assistant or litigation support role.
- Proficiency with state and federal court filing procedures (electronic and in-person).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
