Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support preconstruction efforts across a range of commercial projects. You will review invitations to bid, analyze project documentation, and accurately determine labor, material, equipment, and time requirements. This role requires strong technical proficiency, the ability to clarify scope across multiple stakeholders, and expertise in producing detailed and competitive bid proposals.
Key Responsibilities
• Review plans, specifications, proposals, and addenda to prepare complete estimates
• Identify and quantify labor, materials, equipment, logistics needs, and production rates
• Develop accurate cost breakdowns, bid clarifications, and internal estimate summaries
• Create conceptual estimates and preliminary budgets as required
• Maintain cost databases and historical documentation with accurate entries
• Solicit, review, and level subcontractor bids for scope accuracy
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and GC clients to resolve discrepancies
• Support preconstruction efforts through project handoff and mentor junior team members

Requirements
• Extensive experience with Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and digital takeoff tools
• 3 to 5 years of experience in metal stud framing, commercial drywall, or wood framing
• Strong understanding of structural, civil, MEP, envelope systems, finishes, and related cost drivers
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with strong analytical and organizational skills
