Role Overview
The Estate & Trust Tax CPA will serve as a key advisor within the firm’s estate, trust, and gift tax practice. We are seeking a professional with at least five years of relevant experience who brings both technical depth and a consultative mindset. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, partners, and external advisors to deliver thoughtful, strategic solutions tailored to each client’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review fiduciary income tax returns, estate tax returns, and gift tax returns
- Advise clients on estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer strategies
- Deliver creative tax solutions aligned with long-term client objectives
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for estate and trust clients
- Collaborate with firm partners, managers, and staff to ensure exceptional client service
- Coordinate with estate planning attorneys, investment advisors, and other professionals
- Monitor changes in estate and trust tax law and proactively advise clients and colleagues
- Mentor and support junior professionals within the practice
Candidate Profile
- Active CPA license in California
- Minimum of five years of estate, trust, and gift tax experience in public accounting
- Strong technical expertise combined with sound professional judgment
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and confidently
- Client-focused approach with a commitment to long-term relationship building
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
