Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity for a Physical Therapist with experience in school settings to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in Oakland, CA, this contract role spans the current school year and focuses on delivering specialized therapeutic services within an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy assessments, treatments, and interventions tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate student care and educational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with relevant certification.
- Experience working within K-12 school settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently while maintaining detailed documentation.
