Job Summary: The Envelope Operator & QC, together with the Envelope Machine Operator and Adjuster (the Team) are responsible for the ongoing production of the machine to which they are assigned. The Team fulfills their tasks and responsibilities with a high degree of discipline. They will follow the instructions of the Supervisor and/or the Operations Manager, to ensure that the machine produces high quality envelopes at the maximum possible quantity.


Monday-Friday 5am-1:30pm and 1:15pm-9:45pm

Responsibilities:

  • Verify job set-up conforms to the provided order form specifications
  • Review the quality of produced envelopes to ensure that quality standards are being maintained
  • Check one sample of every box, seal gum, side seam glue, window glue and printing and add this sample to the box.
  • Pack the envelopes in designated boxes and add labels according to the job specifications
  • Minimize waste of materials and finished products
  • Assist the Envelope Machine Operator and Adjuster to support consistent operation of the machine and assist with clearing paper incase of paperjams or other reasons for downtime.
  • Complete together with the Adjuster and Machine Operator a daily end of shift production sheet, with date, machine number, order number, size, amount produced, production hours and downtime with explanation for the reason
  • Wash-up the gum-, window gum-, side seam glue-, and printing units of the assigned machine at the end of production
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe workspace
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Provide feedback to supervisors and management about safety concerns and areas for improvement.
  • Provide support to envelope manufacturing activities, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform basic math including use of fractions and measurements
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to pass drug screen, E-Verify, and background check
