We are seeking a skilled Security Estimator to support our low-voltage and security installation projects. This role is responsible for reviewing project scopes, evaluating system requirements, and producing accurate estimates for access control, CCTV, intrusion, and related security systems. Were looking for someone detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and comfortable working with both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Review drawings, specifications, and RFP documents to develop accurate project estimates

Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs for security system installations

Create takeoffs for access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, and related systems

Work closely with project managers and sales teams to refine scopes and pricing

Identify value-engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective solutions

Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and project data

Assist with bid submissions and proposals as needed
Requirements:

Experience estimating security or low-voltage systems (access control, cameras, alarms, etc.)

Ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings

Strong understanding of system components, device layouts, and installation requirements

Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and takeoff tools (or willingness to learn)

Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and meet bid deadlines
Preferred (not required):

Experience with brands like Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Honeywell, Bosch, or similar

Knowledge of building codes and low-voltage regulations
-
Field installation background in security or structured cabling
